Flare can be used as a smart contract platform for XRP or as a trustless pipeline for XRP to other networks.
The Flare Network is a distributed network running the Avalanche consensus protocol adapted to Federated Byzantine Agreement and leveraging the Ethereum Virtual Machine. It can thus be leveraged as a scaling method for smart contract networks without relying on economic safety mechanisms.
Flare’s native token is called Spark (FLR).
